Linda Schele’s vision of Mayas learning the glyphs is now well advanced. Today we witness not only Mayas learning the glyphs, but also Mayas teaching the glyphs, which is the goal of our organization, MAM.

At the upcoming Second International Congress of Maya Epigraphers, beginning students will be taught by two teams of Maya epigraphers, the Sak Chuwen Group and a newly formed group Ajtz’ib’ab’ Fundación PLFM, coordinated by Ajpub’ García. Continue reading →
